Christine Frank joined Compass Advisers' New York office as a Managing Director in 2010 to lead its Technology, Media and Telecommunications effort in North America. With 20 years of M&A, corporate finance and private equity experience, Ms. Frank has advised corporations and private equity investors on more than $26 billion in mergers and acquisitions transactions. In addition, she has raised more than $8 billion in public and private equity offerings, $10 billion in fixed income offerings, and helped underwrite over $1 billion in acquisition senior debt financing to support private equity-backed LBOs. Ms. Frank has worked on numerous capital raising, advisory and restructuring transactions for television and radio broadcasting, entertainment, publishing, digital media, marketing and information services, software technology, telecom, music, and sports companies.
Prior to joining Compass, Ms. Frank was a Managing Director of Communications, Media & Entertainment at CIT Group in New York, where she worked with leading private equity clients focused on the TMT sectors. Previously, Ms. Frank was a Managing Director and head of U.S. Media/Telecom M&A for BMO Nesbitt Burns for three years, and Managing Director of the Media & Telecommunications Group for Banc of America Securities for three years, where she headed up investment banking coverage of the satellite, cable and publishing sectors.
Ms. Frank spent five years in the Media & Entertainment Group at Bear, Stearns, where she worked on notable deals including Marvel Entertainment's bankruptcy restructuring, Disney's acquisition of CapCities/ABC, and Paul Allen's start-up investment in DreamWorks. Ms. Frank began her career with tenures in the Media and Communications Group at Chase Manhattan Bank and at Fox Broadcasting Company.
Ms. Frank received an M.B.A. degree in finance from the Columbia Graduate School of Business, and a B.A. degree in communications from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated magna cum laude and was elected as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
