Ivan Cheah is a Managing Director at Compass Advisers, based in Shanghai and New York.  Mr. Cheah established Compass' Shanghai office in 2008.

      Prior to joining Compass in May 2007, Mr. Cheah served for 13 years in several executive capacities at Warner Bros. International, a division of Time Warner, including postings in Hong Kong as Senior Vice President, Asia, and in London as Senior Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

      In 1999, Mr. Cheah became an investor in and advisor to Jimmy Choo, the founder of the global luxury goods company, guiding the company through a complex series of intellectual property, strategic and investment decisions.

      In 2001, Mr. Cheah founded digital media firm Arenaplex LLC, which developed, produced, marketed and distributed Billabong Odyssey, and organized the worldwide theatrical release of Concert For George.

      Mr. Cheah studied classical violin at The Juilliard School of Music under Dorothy DeLay and Tossy Spivakovsky.
