Justin Lipton joined Compass Partners Asset Management in March 2010 as a Managing Director based in the New York office.

      Prior to Compass, Mr. Lipton was a Principal at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, the private equity arm of Credit Suisse.  After joining DLJMB in 2002, he completed a broad range of private equity transactions across the business services, media, consumer, energy and industrial sectors and was responsible for deal sourcing, investment due diligence, deal execution and post-closing value enhancement.

      Mr. Lipton also worked on several investments within the DLJ Growth Capital Partners fund, the lower middle-market fund within the Merchant Banking Group.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Deffenbaugh Industries, Total Safety and Luxury Optical Holdings.

      Before joining DLJMB, Mr. Lipton worked in the Global Industrials and Services Group at Credit Suisse, where he worked on a variety of M&A, debt and equity transactions for corporate clients and financial sponsors.

      Mr. Lipton graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. degree in applied economics and management.
