Melissa Vlak joined Compass Partners Asset Management in June 2010 as a Managing Director and the asset management team's Chief Operating Officer based in the New York office.

      Prior to joining Compass Partners, Ms. Vlak served as the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Investor Relations at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners (DLJMBP), the private equity arm of Credit Suisse Group AG.  She joined DLJMBP in 2005, and was responsible for implementing and executing the operational strategy of the fund, and managing all communications with the fund's limited partner investors.

      Before DLJMBP, Ms. Vlak was a Vice President at Rothschild Realty, Inc., the real estate principal investment arm of the Rothschild Group, where she was responsible for investment due diligence and deal execution across a broad range of real estate private equity transactions.

      Prior to joining Rothschild Realty in 2000, Ms. Vlak was a Manager in the Real Estate Transaction Advisory Service Group at Arthur Andersen, LLP.

      Ms. Vlak graduated from Lehigh University with a B.S. degree in accounting.
