Dan Rubin is a Vice President at EdgeRock Realty Advisors, Compass Advisers' joint venture with FTI Consulting dedicated exclusively to the real estate sector.
Previously, Mr. Rubin was a Vice President at JEN Partners, a New York-based private equity firm that invests in real estate operating companies. Mr. Rubin joined JEN Partners upon its formation in 2006 and was promoted to Vice President in 2008. He was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing and monitoring investment opportunities. Mr. Rubin closed investments in 5 portfolio companies, including Boston Financial Investment Management, SunTerra Communities, and Redwood Equity.
Prior to joining JEN Partners, Mr. Rubin was an Associate in the investment banking division at Lehman Brothers, where he worked on various corporate finance transactions in the industrial sector, advising financial sponsors and companies on different financing and strategic alternatives. From 1999 to 2002, he was a Manager in the Restructuring Group of Deloitte, where he advised distressed companies facing turnaround situations in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. He began his career as an Auditor in the Financial Institutions Group of Deloitte.
Mr. Rubin received a B.S. degree from University of Paris Dauphine, a Masters degree from University of Paris Creteil, and an M.B.A. degree from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. He successfully passed the French Advanced Accounting and Finance degree (CPA level).
