Rishi Gupta is a Vice President in Compass Advisers' New York office. He joined the firm as a Senior Associate in May 2010.
Prior to joining Compass Advisers, Mr. Gupta was an Investment Banking Associate in the General Industrial Services Group at Credit Suisse Securities Private Limited in Mumbai, India. While at Credit Suisse, Mr. Gupta worked as a generalist across different sectors within the industrials group.
Before Credit Suisse, Mr. Gupta worked as an Associate in the Global Industries Group at Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. in New York. At Bear Stearns, Mr. Gupta worked on financial advisory assignments including leverage buyouts and mergers and acquisitions, as well as capital raising transactions for clients in the transportation, gaming, food and beverage, retail and chemicals industries.
Mr. Gupta started his career in the Private Client Services Group at UBS PaineWebber as a Client Service Associate. He then joined Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor in the Individual Investor Group, where he assisted in the management of over $300 million of equities for high net‑worth individuals and hedge funds.
Mr. Gupta earned a B.A. degree in economics from Gustavus Adolphus College and an M.B.A. degree from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
