Billy Sherman is a Vice President of EdgeRock Realty Advisors, Compass Advisers' joint venture with FTI Consulting dedicated to the real estate market.
Before EdgeRock, Mr. Sherman was a Vice President in Compass Advisers' New York office, with experience in performing mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, restructuring and complex strategic and financial advisory work for a broad range of clients across a variety of industries and geographies. He has particular experience in serving clients with complex shareholder, corporate governance and family ownership situations. Mr. Sherman joined Compass as an Analyst in July 2003.
Mr. Sherman's transaction experience while at Compass includes a private placement for Naked Juice Company, the restructuring of Kasper A.S.L., Ltd., advisory work for OAO LUKOIL for its strategic partnership with ConocoPhillips, the sale of Slatkin & Co. to Limited Brands, the recapitalization of Kaman Corporation, the acquisition of FAST Video Security AG by NICE Systems Ltd., the acquisition of Fedders' residential HVAC business by Elco Holdings Ltd., and the sale of The Schonbraun McCann Group to FTI Consulting, Inc.
Prior to joining Compass, Mr. Sherman had summer analyst positions in the Commercial Growth and Strategies groups at Bank of America, serving middle-market companies in Texas and the Southwest United States.
Mr. Sherman earned a B.S. degree in economics with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with concentrations in finance and marketing.
